Last but I think the Neatest!

This is the lasy project we did for our club night....we stamped with VMark on these glass candle holders and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder...then we used etching cream to cover the rest...we all left a band at the top just in case we wanted to add ribbons etc. VIOLA!! we all have BEAUTIFUL etched glass containers!! This one has my buttons in it then I had a tealight to show you the images....WOW I don't think I ever would have tried doing it myself...thank you Kathy so much for expanding our stamping experience!!! That was a cool club night! P.S. I have to tell you Kathy did make kid versions of all the cards/etchings we did....thank you for knowing my girls would be right in there wanting to do it all!!!

Ok so this we had seen but never tried...I think we all wanted to but think it might be too hard or to much work...and it is alot of water coloring and even a bit of masking..but I will do this again as soon as possible! I thought it was great and had a blast trying it out!!! Way to go Kathy!!! And you were worried that you wouldn't WOW us!!! PS those elves are too cute and I think you will see alot more of those cuties when we start our Christmas cards!!! the order will be Kathy, Michelle then mine!! Have a icy day!!

Our Club Cards..

Sorry it took a bit to post these I have had sooo many things to show you and I try not to do double posts. So It was Kathy's turn to organize out club night.....It will have to be in 3 posts because she did 2 cards and a project...Ok so the first one.....Kathy's is first ...then Michelle's then mine!!! Club cards

I have so many cards to show you I didn't know where to start....So i went with our club night cards....we did a brayer night...Michelle was the designer of this I know lots of her Ideas came from SCS ...But WOW did we have fun with them!! These were all done with the same brayer...hee hee of course but with some post it notes and a punch circle look what you can do!!! Fun right!!! I had a ball with these and I am sure you will be seeing more of these soon!

Mike's Birthday

It is Mike's birthday on the 7th but we are going to celebrate it when we celebrate Hailey's...But he will get the card I made for him on the 7th ...I tried to do the birthday cake pop up card that is all over SCS but I don't have the big shot and so I had to be happy with the card being 3d the whole time. My hubby is a really good man and a fab Dad..We love him so much and I think he will love this...He will know the time and effort the girls and I put in...He appreciates a good card...or in this case a good cake!! Have you tried this...

very fishy

My my I have been busy...we all have....Michelle has been working on fathers day cards like a mad woman and has taken to running daily ( yes in this heat)...Kathy is in New york....yes she is away again....and yes we are bitter.....yes we are having my Dad over for dinner a lot while she is away!!! I just finished with the girls dance recital...I am sooooo PROUD of both of them!!! They worked hard and loved every minute! We loved it as well! and with all that I have made some really cute cards...or so I think! This is for my Dad for Fathers day. He is a fisherman and hunter but I wanted it to be a bit whimsical and fun for him. I did a gel card I saw the tech on SCS....I think it is going to be a hit! What do you think ...have you tried to do this..I didn't have all the required materials so I used a clear envelope to hold the gel. It has held up just great!

Bag it!!

For the second project at our club night I had the idea of ...anything but a card...I wanted to show something that was easy but you could really get creative. My only wish is that I had had a white bag instead of the goldish one but I had to use what I had. So this was a 9x11 envelope I cut 3" off the top and then scored the other 3 sides ...2' for all of them ...I made some other creases and Voila!!! A really cute gift bag....totally not my creation I got it from SCS but it was easy and fun...I left mine simple but you could really jazz it up.

I have been so bad at posting I know! I said I would share our club night projects and it has been almost a week...so I had to come up with the projects and I we try to do something new every time...I wanted to use glossy paper because I have lots and don't use it as much as I should...I used the Rolling Marbles and made this background paper. I frayed the ribbon after I tied the knot and I didn't have Choc buttons so I used textured paper and punched it to the size of clear buttons....That all being said I wanted to tell you this card doesn't have the same layout as mine did.....This is my daughters card she made. So all the materials are the same the execution is a bit different.

 

The 2nd Card from our Club

Ok so the 2nd card wasn't a trick card like the slider but I hope you can see some of the details the Michelle put into it! Oh.... so we don't have the Big Shot but we used the Cricut to make that cool frame that you see everywhere on cards this fall.. She also has a ton of DP and HP hardware. As well as Chipboard ...Oh my goodness that is a lot of stuff on a little card!! The card is made up of all sorts of sizes of papers and shapes...I love it!! Yippee Michelle you did a great job!! I will give you a, turkey, hint on, turkey, what I will be, turkey, posting tomorrow!!! Talk then!!!

Our first Stamping party with Michelle

OOOHHH I just got back from our first party with Michelle as our demo girl!! OOOHHHH LA LA!!! Ok, so we did 2 cards which I find is enough when you have a nice size group. I will show you one of them today and then one tom!! First is ...the Slider card..I know it has been around for a while but have you tried it?? No I bet not...But do ...it is not that hard to figure out and you will get hours of fun moving it back and forth!!! The star is perfect for this card... I just love the spin! We have lots of boys in this family and so does our other group members so this seemed like a perfect slider!!! I had so much fun making it and can't wait to do another!! I will so be showing this off to everyone!! Way to go Michelle!!! You are Our All Star!!! ....I know you can't wait to see the next one we did , right??
