ok... here are the bits!!

So I use 12x12 designer papers and the way I do my cards for the most part.. I get 6 cards out of every 12 x12 sheet... in the end if I have done my job I am stuck with 3 pieces of 1 1/2 x 4 bits of paper... I know it would be smart ...especially if you saw my scrap collection to just get rid of these. NOPE not me I have to save them cause one day I will use them..(Hoarder)

( I have started taking Kathy's as well ...I have a problem) ANYWAY... here is a pic of a few of said pieces....

A personal post

My eldest daughter is graduating from grade 7... yep we do that! I just am feeling a bit like the day I sent her off to school for the first time... excited and a bit scared for what is to come next for her. This is how I see her... even today when she is 13.... Thanks for letting me share...

OMG... ok I was away!

well that was only till last weekend but I guess I couldn't get back into the swing of it all till today sooooo I will start off with a pic of the view I had while I sipped a frosty tropical drink by the pool! thanks for stopping by! My youngest has a best girlfriend and she made this totally adorable quilt in a class at school!! We bumped into the mom and daughter team at the fabric store and saw the before fabric and I was floored by the finished project!! Way to go Sarah!! Watch out.... I will start getting you to help me finish all my projects!!!

I needed to show you these pics!! This is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time....I was really glad we went to support him in his run ( my uncle ). I have to say I did tear up a bit and I really didn't think I would be that emotional about it....I was SO PROUD...of my family and about being Canadian...

A break from cards!

A break from cards!

As you might remember I have been making a " quilt" for my daughter Hailey...well as with all good things "change " must happen!! Right?? Well we have decided to "redo" the girls rooms...and the quilt is not going to work any more. Soooo the 5 blocks I have made will now be large pillows for her bed. I have to say I am not sad about this..it means I am closer to being finished!! Here are the latest 2 blocks I have made! Thanks for looking!

Last but I think the Neatest!

This is the lasy project we did for our club night....we stamped with VMark on these glass candle holders and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder...then we used etching cream to cover the rest...we all left a band at the top just in case we wanted to add ribbons etc. VIOLA!! we all have BEAUTIFUL etched glass containers!! This one has my buttons in it then I had a tealight to show you the images....WOW I don't think I ever would have tried doing it myself...thank you Kathy so much for expanding our stamping experience!!! That was a cool club night! P.S. I have to tell you Kathy did make kid versions of all the cards/etchings we did....thank you for knowing my girls would be right in there wanting to do it all!!!

Yep more birthday!!

Here are the cards I got from the girls!!! Wow ladies you did good! What do you think?? I love them!! Kathy made the green and pink with the beautiful bow and the inside is a waterfall of wonderful flowers! Wow..... well done! Michelle made me the cutest purse ..it is tiny and I love it a have a couple of girls wanting it for their room!! Kathy made the happy birthday to you card for my brother and his to give me! I love them all...The paper on the last card happens to be my fave right now! Ladies you out did yourselves! Wonderful!!

Mike's Birthday

It is Mike's birthday on the 7th but we are going to celebrate it when we celebrate Hailey's...But he will get the card I made for him on the 7th ...I tried to do the birthday cake pop up card that is all over SCS but I don't have the big shot and so I had to be happy with the card being 3d the whole time. My hubby is a really good man and a fab Dad..We love him so much and I think he will love this...He will know the time and effort the girls and I put in...He appreciates a good card...or in this case a good cake!! Have you tried this...

Mermaids

A few months ago I showed you the fairy that I stitched for my eldest daughter...well here is the one I finished for my youngest....She loves it and now we can frame them for their rooms....Of course I have already started the next fairy...yes I have to have something to do when I wait for my girls at dance!!!

I wanted to show you this ..I made it last year for my mom...I made it into a stool...I was fun to make I think it looks good. What do you think??

Bear's birthday

I thought I would share these pics. My daughters had a birthday party for Ben the bear and they had 65 guests...here are some of the pics they took.....the birthday bear is in there somewhere....they were told the party was the best party the bears had been too....with all those guests I believe it!!!

Pretty Frame

I have made a frame like this before in blues and greens and it turned out well.....This frame my daughter Hailey and I made for a really good friend of  hers....and I think it is better that the one I did by myself. I think it is because the love that went into it.....I think her girlfriend really liked it!! Of course Hailey made a matching card...Beautiful....

Show off

This is the cake michelle made for Ryan's birthday..I needed to show you all how talented she is...Not just with cards but with everything she does. Michelle  strives for perfection...with everything. I am glad to let you know she achieves it. The birthday was wonderful....

How the Boys measure up!!

Michelle made these for the boys.... She will put them in their rooms when they have finished painting them...Soon right Nick?? It might be hard to see but they are nice and bright and totally removable so if they every move Michelle will be able to take them with her!! Nice that she thinks they will be over 6 feet!!! I think they might get close to that!!!
