lovin the background

Ok I needed this so bad... this was going to be the most used stamp in my set....yes I have a few. That is totally what I thought. Well turns out it is not my most fave to color so the love affair has dulled a bit...I still like it but not in the same " way" as I used to. It is not it's fault it is just me....I now just want to be friends!! Thanks for looking...hope you have a good day with your friends!

with Sympathy

Ok.... I did some more cards for Sandy ...thank you Sandy...Belated....I saw this paper and new it would be a perfect Sympathy card. I don't do to many black sympathy but I needed this paper....

I feel like I am the one who always makes the Sympathy cards...well for the fund raiser that one one of my jobs so I thought I would share! I do love the words Sharing in you Sorrow. Sad news..

My Father in Law's brother passed away...I had only met him once....it was enough to make me sad. He was a very nice man and he has a wonderfully caring wife. They both made a huge impression on me and my girls and He will be missed. I know the rest of the family is sad as well. Harder that they live in Montreal and none of us will be there to say our goodbyes. We will miss you Bucky...

Sometimes a cards just says everything. You're never more than a thought away...so beautiful. There is absolutely nothing that should or could be changed to make this card better...nope not a thing!! A wonderful day

What a great day yesterday was...My girls were super good to their mom and helpful as all get out!! We had a really nice dinner with the rest of the family and my mom loved her presents...who wouldn't want a lilac tree??? My inlaws came and had dinner with us and loved her presents!!! Yes more flowers but a pot bursting with assorted flowers and I have to say it will look great on their doorstep!! Of course there were cards so I must post them...I just wanted to take today to post a card I made for a friend who's uncle died...When we were early teens I used to go to family functions of hers and vice versa...He was a really nice man and I know he will be sadly missed by all who knew him..I know my friend will ....

Get Well Soon

We have a friend that has had a really hard week and Michelle thought that she might need a pick me up card.....Things are good here....Michelle's boys are getting bigger, my girls are getting bigger.... I hate that they grow.... I wish that once you have them you could just keep them so they don't have to grow up......

settling in..

As the year  ( school, dance, back to work)  starts we all have to adjust.  This year seems a bit harder that the rest but I think we have finally gotten into a routine and are settled in...Thank goodness. That being said I think I will be able to blog nightly again...

Great day today!!

We all had so much fun today....Thank you to Michelle and Nick for a great afternoon and a beautiful night!!! It was a nice Christening ...well done and Quick to boot!!! NO Just kidding It was lovely and just as long as it should be!!!! My baby Ryan was such a good boy and sooo happy for the whole thing!! Here are some cards Kathy made as some thank you's for those who made a donation to the Kidney Foundation..For my Papa....and my Dad put together a cd of pics (that is what he does...see my fave blogs on the side....) for all the sisters of my Grandfather...I know they will love it and hey it is a cute cover as well!!! His last name was Fagan.....so you get the F on the cover!!!

Sweet flowers..

Ok so as we all know ...or maybe you don't...Michelle is really creative....but she does not do the grunt work....so here she is in action with these beautiful flowers (made from punches) and in the background we had to do all the other things for her so we could put these out for sale!!! I love her but the next bunch are hers to do....yep that is right....you heard it here....(ok you all know I will be doing it next time too but I take what she gives because she gives alot.......) I just love it when she teaches me something...It seems to happen more and more...I know Kathy feels the same...Ok enough mush I thought there is a time for pool fun and now is it!! I love the splashing around.....

Getting back on the card wagon...so to speak

Ok, so the past couple of weeks we have been crazy....We have been up in the air and bouncing all over the place...I "had" to jump right back into crafting... you know... it is so hard when you keep looking at your craft area and you know all it will take is for you to have a few mins and sit down....It was the sitting at my desk that I just didn't (couldn't) do!!! Silly... yes... but that was it for the last while....But here I am and thankfully I have time and the desire to get back in the swing of it...I might have been putting it off because I also had to do some blogging for my Dad and it is hard when you don't know what the heck you are talking about!!! I know way more and I am done ...for now anyway...ps please visit his blog....it is in my faves...Castking Furled Leaders.  He was so happy he sent me flowers...yep... a picture over the internet...Thanks Dad!! So here is a couple of the cards I did today I love the Butterfly and I think they are making a comeback...Yep I am way ahead of the crowd!!!

Tara's birthday card

Today was a hard day... we had the funeral today and of course the gathering after. It was nice to see all everyone we don't see unless there is a wedding or funeral. That seems sad but I guess that is the way it is for most. 

Tomorrow being a new day...we are finally celebrating our sister in laws b day and my nephews b day...we had to postpone because of a flu bug that hit that family!!! So I can show you her card now and I will post Kathy's and Michelle's tomorrow night after the party...I used the wild rose it was one that I got because it was leaving the cat and I had to have it.....I used the crystal effects on some of the roses and have lots of layering in the flowers..it might be hard to see..I think she will love it.

Loving these swirls... I used some lace that has pearls on it. For the Soft sky ( blue)card  I took the pearls off , separated them just to add a bit of dimension to the flowers. I think the black and white card is pretty romantic....Let me know what you think!!

Mixed bag of cards!

Ok so there is no real theme of cards here today.I was making some random cards with my new stamps.

 I have to say I really didn't like the (Burgandy ) Fresh cuts set ..really didn't ....but I am getting to like it...I know I am fickle but hey I have enough stamp love for my stamps!!!

I just saw my "little" boy nephews today and I could just eat them up! It has only been 10 days but I felt like it was months!!! I so love their ages and they are such nice boys...and yes I am still arff or woof to Nathan! He will never say my name!!

Here are my cards I have to tell you that the flower stamp I got and didn't really want. so I had to look up some cards that others had made and I got a bit inspired. I didn't know at the time that I was fallling in love with it!! Yep head over heals! So here they are I would love to hear how you felt about this when you first got it. I will be using one of these for my cousins B day like Kathy.... I am not sure which one though...I hate to let them go.

Ok so as promised Kathy's cards.......she has been working wonders with this stamp...These are my fave cards that Kathy has made. I would love to hear what you have to say about these gorgeous cards...the flowers are all water colored and the striped paper is velum .. I think she made the happy birthday one with the script for my Cousins 40th birthday....

With Sympathy

We were asked to make 20 Sympathy cards ...I thought that it would be easy..you know it's cards and I love making cards...But as I am making them I am getting a bit sentimental thinking about people I have lost and thinking of my Papa who we might loose soon. Makes me a bit sad and I hope that the people who receive these cards will feel the love I tried to put into them......
